Swimming Victory

Swimming

Swimming is one of Australia's favourite pastimes, and is possibly the highest participation sport in Australia.

Swimming Australia wants everyone to have start a life-long love of swimming, and to do so in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Participants can swim for fun, fitness, for social reasons or for competition.

Competitive swimmers can represent the ACT and Australia in a bunch of events - including the Paralympic Games and Special Olympics.

And we are very lucky in Canberra to have high quality indoor and outdoor aquatic centres in every part of town.

Local Swimming Opportunities

You should always start at your local swimming club. There are 10 clubs in Canberra who welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities. Most clubs offer professional coaching for swimmers at all levels, from learn-to-swim right through to National Championship qualifiers.  Clubs are based at swimming facilities all over Canberra and all welcome enquiries from prospective new members.

Visit the Swimming ACT website or click on the image below to find your local club. And if you need any help at all, get in touch with the team at Swimming ACT -  officemanager@swimmingact.com.au or 6257 4837.
